Consider the Lobster

As I was reading Consider the Lobster, I was struck by how the article was constructed. The author made some interesting points, but the most interesting part of it was how the paper was put together rather than the actual content. The author clearly had a good grasp on his audience. Despite being in a cooking magazine, he addresses the topic of the consumption and cooking of lobsters. It may seem odd but a cooking and food magazine is a good place to bring up the debate because it attracts the readers who may have opinions about the topic. Starting with the festival, the author weaves the debate of consuming lobsters through the backdrop of the festival. This makes the dry topic more interesting now that the readers have a real life event to connect the debate to.
